Amie Barr Stevens is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. There, she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Dramatic Arts. After college, she taught in the K-12 school system at both Mullins Middle and High Schools in Mullins, SC and Blackwater Middle School in Conway, SC. While teaching, Amie earned her dual Master’s in Management and Leadership and added to the degree by earning her Master’s of Business Administration.

Joey Barr, her father, established JV Barr Construction in 1996 and has been building strong ever since. Amie has been a licensed South Carolina Unlimited General Contractor for over 10 years. Under her father’s tutelage she has built offices, retail space, warehouses, residential properties, and religious facilities just to name a few.

Amie works very closely with the Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association in Conway, SC.
